My Heritage

My name is Joel and i a Mexican. What I like to do is play soccer and so does my family. My family eats a lot of Mexican food because they were born in Mexico. What we celebrate is 5 de mayo and other Mexican days. My mom is from Jalisco and my dad is from Zacatecas. They were both born in Mexico.   

Outsiders theme

The theme of the outsiders is that when you're in a gang you can die eventually. When the book is about to start Johnny gets jumped by the socs because his hang and their gang are rivals. Dally died because he was robbing a store and he didn't think the cops would shoot. In page (153-154). Johnny died the same day because of the fire of the church. Johnny killed bob because bob was in the socs gang and he was hurting him and so he was defending him and he killed him with his pocketknife. In page (56). All these kids died because their in a gang or in the wrong place.

Events of the outsiders

the book the outsiders was real good. It's good because pony boy and the gang are like having a war with the "socs" because they are rivals and they hate each other. They jump pony boy in the beginning and that's what triggered a war between them. A lot of pony boy's loved ones died because of the war. It's real sad when those kids grow up in the hood and they have to survive. I didn't really think I would enjoy it because i judged a book by it's cover but when you get to the part where pony boy gets jump it starts getting exciting. It has good parts in the story I think you'll enjoy.
